Pastor Roy Rugless speaking at If My People Prayer Conference

Pastor Roy Rugless speaking at If My People Prayer Conference

We are blessed and privileged to have Pastor Roy Rugless from the US coming to Australia to speak at the “If My People” prayer conference to be held at Stuarts Point Convention Centre over the October long weekend.

I asked him what he hoped to achieve over the weekend. His respond was, “What we want to happen this weekend is for the participants to experience revival, but it can only happen through prayer, which is why we are coming together.  We want them to have an encounter with God, which will translate into transformation that will flow throughout the churches in Australia and get a people ready for the 2nd coming of Christ.”

” A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work! There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is unwilling to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it.  Our heavenly Father is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children.  But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the condition upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A REVIVAL NEED BE EXPECTED ONLY IN ANSWER TO PRAYER. – Last Day Events, 189

Pastor Rugless is the former director of prayer ministries for the South Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Nashville, Tennessee. He is now developing a consulting ministry. During his 35 years of ministry, he has been the Pastor for many churches, conducted evangelistic series, and won souls for Christ.

In 2012, he received the North American Division’s highest departmental award for prayer ministries. Pastor Rugless’ greatest desire is to be saved and be an instrument in God’s hand to save others. His real passion is in prayer and he has spoken at many events on this very topic over the course of his many years in ministry.

“Our greatest need is revival of primitive godliness. My objective is to have us experience that through understanding and practicing Righteousness by Faith, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and witnessing; all under girded with prayer, which gets us and others ready for the Outpouring of the Latter Rain and the 2nd coming of Christ.”
